Yas Island
Four mega-parks, an F1 circuit and an arena — the Gulf's entertainment island
The next-generation marine park — one epic ocean, no orcas, serious science
Opened in 2023, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi was built as the franchise's clean-slate flagship: no orcas (a first), a colossal "One Ocean" narrative connecting eight indoor realms, and the world's largest single aquarium tank — 25 million litres, crossed by a 20-metre-deep viewing endless-ocean window that stops everyone mid-sentence.
Realms move from Arabian Gulf heritage through polar (penguin colonies behind blizzard glass), tropical reef, and open-ocean zones, mixing serious animal habitats with rides and 4D theatres. Attached — and the quiet point of the whole project — is the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue centre, the region's largest marine conservation hub.
It's the most modern marine park experience anywhere, priced accordingly; animal-welfare-conscious families will find the no-orca, rescue-forward posture a meaningful upgrade on the genre.
