📖 About

Al Khan is Sharjah's easy beach: a sheltered lagoon-mouth strand of calm, shallow water with the Dubai skyline as a distant bonus on the horizon, backed by cafés, a well-kept promenade and full public facilities.

Its neighbours make it more than a swim stop — the Sharjah Aquarium and Maritime Museum sit at one end, and behind the beach lies the atmospheric old Al Khan quarter, an abandoned pearling village of coral-stone houses slowly being restored.

Water sports operators run jet skis and paddleboards in season, and the flat water suits families down to the smallest swimmers.

⭐ Highlights

  • Calm, shallow lagoon swimming
  • Full free facilities and a tidy promenade
  • Sharjah Aquarium at the beach's end
  • The old pearling village ruins behind

  • Combine with the aquarium for the classic Al Khan family day.
  • Wander the old village lanes at golden hour — quietly photogenic.
  • Weekends bring BBQ-family bustle; mornings stay serene.
