The largest Chinese trading hub outside China — 4,000 shops of pure bargain hunting
Dragon Mart is a 1.2-kilometre dragon-shaped complex holding nearly 4,000 outlets — the biggest hub for Chinese goods anywhere outside mainland China. This is where Dubai's residents, traders and half the Gulf come to buy at close-to-wholesale: electronics, furniture, lighting, toys, tools, party supplies, curtains, phone accessories — if it's manufactured, it has an aisle here.
It's organised loosely by zone (the original Dragon Mart 1 for trade goods, the newer Dragon Mart 2 for more polished retail and dining), and the fun is in the treasure hunt: LED signage next to drone shops next to an aisle of ten thousand fairy lights.
For tourists the play is souvenirs and gadgets at a fraction of mall prices, plus genuinely useful buys — luggage, phone accessories, abayas, home décor. Quality varies by shop, so inspect before you pay, and remember almost every price is a suggestion.
