Emirates Palace
The hotel that defined Gulf luxury — come for the gold cappuccino
Inside a working presidential palace — white marble, gold and the Palace in Motion show
Qasr Al Watan is not a historical monument — it's the UAE's actual working Presidential Palace, opened to the public in 2019. Beneath its 37-metre central dome, halls of white Moroccan-style marble, gold leaf and geometric craftsmanship host state visits and summits when the velvet ropes come down.
The visit covers the Great Hall (stand in the centre and look up), the House of Knowledge's manuscripts and gifts of state, the presidential banquet spread, and gardens facing the Gulf. Everything is explained through the lens of Emirati governance and hospitality — it's a palace with a curriculum.
After dark, the facade becomes the screen for Palace in Motion, a 15-minute projection show telling the UAE's journey in three acts — timed evening tickets bundle it neatly.
