📖 About

Named for its lying-beagle silhouette, Snoopy Island anchors the east coast's marine life: hard-coral gardens and fish-cloud shallows ringing the rock, patrolled by hawksbill and green turtles, rays, moray eels and — the crowd-pleaser — harmless blacktip reef sharks in the sandy channels.

Access is democratically simple: swim from the beach, paddle a rented kayak, or join a guided snorkel/dive from the shoreline centres. It's the country's easiest genuine reef — treat it gently and it keeps being that.

⭐ Highlights

  • Living coral reef a swim from shore
  • Turtles, rays and blacktip reef sharks
  • Swim, kayak or guided-boat access
  • The east coast's defining marine site
  • Free from the public beach

💡 Insider Tips

  • Fins recommended — currents wrap the island some days.
  • Never stand on coral; float and look.
  • The seaward (east) side holds the richest life for confident swimmers.
